Default Thank You Bisimoto!

I just wanted to thank Juilo, Janet and most of all the man himself Bisi. I had my car tuned by another shop here in socal that shall remain nameless, but needless to say I was not really impressed. Both with the tune or customer service was sub par. I had a far better experience with Bisimoto: they were both very friendly and knowledgeable. Juilo helped me make sure my car was ready the day before the tune and Bisi worked his magic today. The last shop was able to pull 188hp out of the car and the car ran but not the greatest. Bisi was able to get me 208hp out of my stock b16 with a greddy kit (stock elbow and downpipe), stock cat, EvoII exhaust, with Hondata S300. I'm very impressed with my entire experience at Bisimoto. So for all you Socal guys who might not have a dedicated tuner I DEFINITELY recommend Bisimoto for all your tuning needs!

Iv heard great things about him! unfortunately they cant install my ignition setup so ill have to get that all installed and tuned before i head there and have him refine the motor or go through it like a fine comb! I will be using a well known tuner named Dardan tuning to get the motor up and running great, then ill head there to Bisimoto and have him go through it with the AEM ems v2 i got, he made a review on Honda tuning mag. on the AEM ems v2 and AEM c.o.p conversion! i was very impressed on what he had to say about both units! needless to say i was sold and now ditched the hondata s100 and oem ign. setup for the AEM ems and cop conversion.

I made a thread about churches v.s Bisimoto,
https://honda-tech.com/forums/engine-management-tuning-124/bisimoto-tuning-church-automotoive-tuning-3066131/
because i was not satisfied on my last visit to churches and did not like the customer service at all at churche's after countless dyno sessions i paid them in the past. So i will be visiting Bisimoto in a few months.

I'm sure I can work something out for you, if not at the very least an autograph on a one of his sign cards since the area on the Bisimoto cam gears are minimal to do a signature.

I wish we could assist you with remote tuning services in the UK, however to properly tune your setup we would need your vehicle at our facility. If you need assistance with anything else for your project, please do not hesitate to ask.

So what was the other shop you weren't impressed with. Instead of hiding the name, post it.. Fact is, if they were really that bad, the public should know about it..

For all you know, the tuner was just being careful since you had a stock cat and stock piping, backpressure isn't a good thing in anyway. How much boost? Whats the actual setup, the numbers seem low for a boost b16, i'm assuming this was some tiny turbo @ 6 or 8 lbs..

Not everyone that is on Honda-tech is looking to speak ill about other shops.

Since I was there to see his setup, just as he states it was a stock B16 engine, factory catalytic converter with a bolt on Greddy turbo kit. Greddy kits comes with a small TD05H-18G internal wastegate turbo and he was tuned right around 8 psi.

Jeff's goal was not to make big numbers, his objective was to have great drivability and a fun daily driven setup. This was accomplished by Bisi focusing on partial throttle tuning resulting in not only improvement in drivability and fuel economy, but as well some added horse power.

I can agree with Julio, if your not looking to make big numbers, bisi is definitely the man to see.

Has nothing to do with speaking "ill" of ****. If I was a guy who couldn't tune cars and wanted to go somewhere, I'd like to know where NOT to go. There is a difference between a legitment customer service complaint / service complaint vs just talking trash because you dont like the people.

8 psi, on a 18g turbo on a stock b16 with a cat, 208 sounds about right. I'm sure boost comes on rather quick, If i had to guess, around 2800-3500. I recently tuned a b16 with an almost identical setup, they are fun cars with tiny turbos, but i'm sure it doesn't like to spin above 7800 or so.

I was simply asking about this "other" shop. If you're going to gloat about a shop doing a better job, and although to me 10whp could have been easily accomplished, I'd like to know who you're comparing bizi to. Is it Joe blow down the street who just started tuning cars a week ago? Or is this a real, tuner who's been doing this for 2-3+ years?

I am going to start calling "Bisimoto" the Unicorn from now on. You see and hear all the fabeled tales, yet never see him at anywhere or any real proof of his amazing work. If you have to "focus" on part throttle tuning then your tuning services can't be that great to start with. Any clown can tune WOT perfectly and achieve max horsepower; it takes a "real" tuner to make the vehicle drive exactly like factory out of WOT. Yeah, I said it.

lol.. adjusting Overall fuel trim and some FVs would again basically setup partial throttle.. some tweaking is neccessary but partial throttle shouldn't be that hard..lol.

I wasn't aware till now but I must have seen my first unicorn about 6 years ago. I've seen the same one at least once a year for the last six years. Just saw it again last Thursday & Friday. Should I call the Discovery channel and see about getting a unicorn spotting special?

As far as amazing work goes, i guess more unicorns need to bring their 400+ hp single cam all motor hondas outside because I only know of one. And if Bisi can do it, any unicorn should be able to, right?
