camshaft upgrade Y or N?

Default camshaft upgrade Y or N?

i want to upgrade my cam , but i am not sure which company to go with...and also will need to upgrade my valvatrain i.e. springs, retainers,valves.. i want to make my car an ex sohc sleeper until i can save money for the b16a2 swap...
Any input would be greatly appreciated

cams are expensive...almost prohibitively so if you're saving for a b16 swap. don't waste your money. the SOHC engine is a waste of space unless you dump a shitload of money into it with a turbo or insane NA work. save your money...you can be a sleeper with a torque-less b16 better than you can with a torqueless SOHC.

By the way...get a B18 something.

a cam for your SOHC motor isn't all that expensive....keep in mind its only 1 cam, so about half the price of DOHC cams. And I agree, SOHC motors SUCK. Worst platform to work with in my opinion...And yes, b16 might be less torquey than the b18 but they are still great motors. I LOVE my JDM SiR2 B16A, it has brought me good fun so far and I don't even have that much done to the motor.
