Rebuilding after theft! (lots of pics
Well I don't know if anybody remembers my story, but my car was stolen at the beggining of the summer. My car was then recovered, but completely stripped everythuing except engine, trans and dash. Then the car was baddly damaged in shippment when I bought it back from the insurance company.
here is what it looked like three days before it was gone when I won carlisle...
her is what it looked like after it was shipped from the salvage yard
Now here is what it looks like after a weeks worth of bodywork and sanding
Now today I just sprayed the interior

what will be done by next week is the entier color change
engine:
B16a2 with max-rev turbo and YS1 LSD
full 3in exhaust
exterior:
WW side skirts and tornactive SI lips.
Let me know what you guys think.

The color is going to be a little darker than silverstone metalic from the S2000.
as for the wheels im not reallysure what to get...im kinda leaning towards cp8's in black. Any suggestions?
The motor is already built and I had it in the car for a few days, but took it out for the color change)....I loved the way it felt at 6.5 psi
the insurance company gave me a fair amount but by no means enough to cover wht I had into it...so most is from the insurance , but a good lump is from my pocket. It has been saving me alot of cash doing all the work myself though.

Are you painting the car yourself in a booth or in your garage? I can't wait to see the finished product.....it sure looks like you got painting skills if you are the one spraying...
I am doing most of the painting myself, but I have a professional watching over me the entire time. He is also going to spray the exterior with the base and clear to make sure I don't screw up. As for where im doing it..I am renting space from the paint shop so I can work on it and pull it into the paint booth when I spray.
Thanks for the compliments guys...I should be able to post up the final product next week as long as I get some help from some friends to put everything back together.

Looks awesome. That's the way to think. Don't let anything get you down. If you do go down, come back up stronger. I see that's what you have done. Way to go!

.
Take my advice and DONT take a loan to put into your car. Especially while your going to school. You'll have to work that much harder to pay it back and more hours+school=bad
. If you take any kind of loan, just take a small student loan. They have low interest rates and you dont have to start paying them back till you graduate and find a job. My $.02.

As for the interior I am only putting the seats back in and carbon fiber door panels....oh along with the dash, center console and armrest. You are right I spent way to much time preping the interior to cover it up, and yes the engine bay is painted silver just like the rest of the car.

i commend your dedication of bringing the car back to life.
imo, i think you should get the autodynamic side skirts as well, to match the whole ctr style scheme.
color, door panels, and everything else you have in store should beoff the hook.
