i recently purchased the jdm bronze glass and need to know if they are a direct bolt on to my 91 hacth . heard there was a install thread on here but i cant find it . any help is apriciated . thanks

 

USDM 90-91 rear quarter glass metal brackets differ from their JDM and USDM 88-89 counterparts.
Door Glass should be straight across swap.
Hatch Glass requires surgical percision, a wealth of skill, and a bucket of luck. It might be easier to swap the whole hatch and paint to match.

 

OP, did you buy just the "glass" itself, no frame? If so, it will take an experienced installer to put it in, and cost a few dollars. Buying the assembly as a whole is by far the cheapest and easiest route.

For my crx, i piad $125 for a complete hatch assembly, bronze glass, spoiler and all. This is what you want to find for your civic hatch if you don't already it.

i baught the glass for the doors and quater panel. i know the hatch is esay just buy it as a whole but im talking about the quater panel glass on the 90-91 hatchback . the glass has the brackets on them . i just need to know if there will be cutting or welding involved . any advice is appriciated

 

Don't think the door glass will fit due to the usdm's having the stupid door attached seat belts, think the jdm glass is slightly longer...

 

i have EF9 doors . just that the glass never came with them so i put the usdm one on. as of now i dont even have seat belts . either i rock harnesses which i really hate or find some way to get 88-89 belts in there . but my main concern is the quater panel glass fitment . i cant find anything on how to modify it in order to fit

 

part number for 89 glass: 73010-SH3-010
part number for 91 glass: 73500-SH3-A200

i would take 10 minutes and undo the 4 bolts on one side and compare them. see what needs to be changed.

 

You need to make custom brakets for them to fit also you could just make 89 seatblets fit on a90-91 by welding a nut on to the frame

idk some guy in so cal was parting out his ed7 91 and he had all the bronze glass
