How fast do you go in the rain?
Just wondering what people usually drive in the rain. In my civic, because of no fenderlining and because of the ride height, i go anywhere from 50-60 mph. What is everyone else at?

70-80 in my civic depending on how much water is standing on the road. I also have great tires that handle rain like it was dry. Why are you posting in the S2K section if you drive a civic?
80-100 in my QX56, 80-120 in my G35, 80-90 in my GS300. Since your subject wasn't specific to a certain model and you posted about your civic in the s2k section, I figured I would also state what speeds I will run in my other cars.
Do you have an actually tech question because mods will lock this thread if there isn't any tech.

Road conditions and the quality of the road play a huge part.
I have direzza z1 star specs on my gsr civic and don't have any traction problems.
I have BF goodrich Comp2 on my GS300 and g35. I have BF goodrich rugged terrains on my SUV. I love my BF Goodrich tires!!!
I think this plays as big of a part as good tires if not more!!!

I don't think he has a s2k. He mentions his civic.

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
In my Ferrari F458 Italia, I go like 20mph in the rain. In my G series airplaine, I usually try to keep it around 700-1000MPH. In my bicycle, I usually just say home in the rain. **** sucks. I love going really fast. This thread sucks. WTF is the point of all this?!

if you dont have a s2 the best thing to do.... when you get one learn the car before you drive it like a moron and wreck it!!!!like some others have done...esp guys who buy already turbo s2k dumbass kids wreck them in less then 6months of ownership.....
Seeing that you don't even own an s2000 I find this question LULworthy.
But I choose to not even drive mine in the rain. They aren't the best in adverse conditions. But with a somewhat intelligent driver, it's easily manageable.

only asking because I'm considering selling my car, and making the S2K DD
I go slower than most people because I am scared about hydroplaning. Hear enough about this happening to s2k's in the other big forum. It's very easy to break this car loose, and once broken not easy to correct. Going the speed is sometimes too fast in some of the harder rain that Southern California sometimes gets.
cliffs: don't drive like a moron in a rwd roadster in the rain.

I go whatever the speed limit is?
