My girlfriends civic has something wrong with the actual shifter assembly to where it takes a lot of force to move it and rattles around a bit as well, she claims she didnt break it lol but looking for a new whole assembly for the center console.

I had this issue before with my 1997 civic. It turned out to be the Black piece that you push in on the shifter needed some grease on the underside where it makes contact to the lever that pushes down to switch gears. You just remove the two phillip head screws on the side of the shifter then you remove the black piece and put a lil dable of grease and put it back together. worked like new afterward. Hope this helps.

 

do not do business with this clown. Justinwebb scammed me out of 375 bucks for some struts/springs for my car a few years ago. no wonder the name caught my eye when i was scrolling down the page. i paid via M/O like an idiot and received a tiny box with a little piece of plastic in it.

 

You should note who you're in reference to, cuz I know I didn't scam anyone out of ****. Don't want people getting the wrong idea.
