Apexi VAFC question
VTEC actuation is land-speed dependant. There is a minium engine load and vehicle speed that must be achieved before it activates. The Apexi VAFC does not change that.
Of course you would never want to rev your car that high when it's cold anyway, as you could cause severe engine damage.

WELL, i recently wired a field sfc and vtec changeover is dependent on RPM'S only. The only wire I had trouble w/ was the vtm, and when I hooked it up CORRECTLY my car threw check engine lights. Disconnected the vtm and it was fine. does vtm have anything to do w/ oil pressure or engine temp?
the VTM wire is the ECU's signal to the vtec solenoid in the engine.......the engine needs certain parameters, like certain rpm, oil pressure and temperature, throttle position etc, before it sends the signal thru the VTM wire to the engine.
You shouldn't get a CE light if all the wires are done up correctly....I hooked my VAFC myself and have no probs at all
