I have a 1997 Accord with V6. I know this has been covered before, the speedometer intermittently working, but I do want to replace the unit. My question is what part is actually the defective part, the speedometer unit with the needle and gauge or the small circuit board at the rear being held with 4 screws??? My guage was working intermittently, on then off, now it works. The cruise control is working with the speedometer working and when not working. Hope this helps???

 

Sounds more like the vss and or the wires to and from it, if the cruise only works when the speedo works.............
