Default I dropped of my R this morning and have a empty feeling

Yup I finally dropped of my R for a bunch of warranty items, But they are unsure how long it will take to diagnoses everything, get parts and labor.

The service manager said he would call me later to give me an idea as to whats wrong and how long.

The point of this is... I have never been more then a few feet away from my car and feel empty. boowho

Anyway on a brighter side it will be like new again after they get done with it

later.

R is nice, but only a material possesion.
A great man once said:
"Do not let the things you own, own you."

Or something...
Hope everything is ok.

I am the same way... I don't like my car being in anyone elses hands.. I am lucky though to have a VERY trustworthy Honda/Acura certified shop by my home (AutoWave) that is owned by family friends. Hope you get her back quick!!

I'm in the same boat. Wallace Honda Acura in Richmond VA OWNS. Fully Honda certified, it's so clean you can eat off the floor. Only thing is since they're not an actual dealer, they can't do warranty work

But I am still very paranoid so i end up hanging out at the dealer half a day of if its schedule tune up or minor warranty work.
At least they let me play with their demos while i wait. Last visit, owner of the dealer so happened to come by and I took out
his S2K demo from Honda dealer. It was a good 1/2 hr run up and down the highway but i was shocked that it felt too civilized
to me because of the R rawness!

Guys, the R is just a car, and a relatively inexpensive one at that. Imagine how you would feel if it was a Ferrari or something like that. The way that you guys act, you would probably sleep in the damn thing!

I realize that many of you guys are young, and the R is probably the biggest purchase that you have made (huge generalization), so I can understand your attachment to it, but after you purchase a house, and it starts sucking all your money, you will feel differently.
There are always upgrades for a house, tiles, interlocking bricks, insualte the garage, finish the basement, get the plasma TV and home theatre....the list continues. At least a house builds equity!

I am not young in my mid 30's and near closing of condo with my g/f. The car is only thing of my relaxations. Condo/house to
me will be a burden for rest of my life to come ,so i must do what i enjoy now before turning into HOME DEPOT bound person!
