Default fuel pump wont stop priming

ok when i turn the key to the second spot when the fuel pump should prime it does but wont turn off. after a few seconds probably like 5 to 10 i get a check engine light. im guessing this is from the fuel pressure getting high since it stays priming. basically im just curious if this sounds like a grounding problem because it ran amazing before i swapped my transmission. or could this be a relay problem or a blown fuse. also my starter is acting like it isnt getting any power and my car wont even turn over. i have the little clip that goes to the brown plug hooked up and i have the cable from the battery screwed down to it as well.

Starter - Check the rubber stopper that presses on the safety switch at the top of the clutch pedal.

Starter & pump - Test the ignition switch.

Pump - If you unplug ECU connector A, does the fuel pump still run continuously in ON(II)?

ok is the rubber stopper like the one that is on the break pedal and about at the same level? there is an empty hole in the pedal shaft about at that level. but i dont have any broken rubber parts on my floor like when my break one broke. pluss as far as i can see up there isnt any switch type thing. the spot across from that hole i was talking about has a bolt screwed through it and it hits right on the hole on the pedal.

my car is run on toggle switches, flip one up and its like the key in the 1 position flip another while the first one is flipped and its like key in the 2 posittion. then push a lever and it starts the car, so my ignition switch cant be it. but i guess i should check the wiring around the switches?

and the pump does not prime if the A plug is disconected.

sorry it took so long i had to go to work for a little bit

also when i flip the toggle to actually start the car like when the starter should engage i get a click. kinda like the sound of blowing a small breaker. if i push the clutch th whole way down and hit the switch i get the click but it wont click again untill i bring the clutch pedal about half way back up and push it back down. then when i hit the switch it clicks again.

idk if that helps or what it means i just figured it could mean something. thanks for the help also

ok runs great now. changed starters and now i dont have any problems. idk how that would affect the fuel pump but it doesnt prime more than it should now.
