94 gsr with 123K on it and i'm alomst positive the rings are bad.....I plan on taking out the motor and tranny soon. My ? is, I have around 3-4 grand to spend, will i be able to buy a turbo kit AND do all of the necessary rebuilding in order to make it a reliable daily driver (for spring and summer at least)???? Could someone give me the low down on what would need to be done?? TIA

3-4k will probably get you one or the other, not both, unless you go ghetto cheap style. Lots of turbo kit deals and lots on info on block building if you just search for it.

Actually, if you build back up with stock parts you may be able to do both. But why rebuild with stock parts if you have to replace em anyway? If I was you I'd build the block up nicely first, run it for a while, then turbo charge it.
