Can anyone tell me if this blocker ring has been used by looking at it. The transmission it came out of looks perfectly cleaned as if it were rebuilt but you really never know. It is very dirty because it's been out of the tranny.

 

It's normally difficult to tell when they look decent. It certainly doesn't have any spots on it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have 50,000+ miles on it. The only abnormalities I see are some dirt/sludge in the grooves and a small "thing" on the one tab which I can't see clearly what it is. Is it a gouge on the top of the tab?

What does it measure out at on the gear cone?

 

Thanks. No, it's just dirt. I spent some more time looking online for pictures of used vs new and now I feel pretty confident that these are new. They have no scuff marks at all and each corner is pretty square. It's being re-assembled right now.
