6-speed base rsx help
Sup guys, I recently installed my K20z1 tranny into my 05 5-speed base but I have been having a few problems with it...
Rebuild 05 type-s tranny, CC stage 2 with CC 11.5 flywheel...JTC Short shifter
After the tranny was installed the car shifted great (even without reverse lockout) but had a bit of a struggle getting into 6th and also the clutch was engaging way too early/low.
After driving it around I adjusted the clutch pedal, installed the mtec racing shifter spring from my old tranny. (To note when I installed the spring I had to re-assemble the shiftier mechanism after installing the new springs) it but now the problem was that car wasnt going into reverse at all. The car shifted fine 1st to 6th. When I would try to put the car into reverse the reverse gear would grind the closer I got to the gear... The only way I could get it into reverse was to turn off the car, put it in reverse and then trun the car back on....
I came to the conclusion that maybe the reverse wasn't engaging because the clutch wasnt being engaged properly so I went to adjust the clutch pedal again
Now with my car sitting in my garage doesnt engage into any gear while the car is on When the clutch pedal is fully pressed in there is noise coming from the tranny (clicking). I get some serious resistance when I am trying to put tranny into any gear and still doesnt go into gear. I gave up thinking I shouldnt risk damaging the tranny
I am not sure if it is a clutch problem, shifter mechanism problem, or maybe the shifter box (5-speed)
Update: I have bleed the clutch and re-installed the stock shifter springs in hope that would fix the issue but it has not...
