Best sander combo for stainless?
Ive been using a Grizzly unit for a while but would like to upgrade to something with a little more power and that is a little more accurate/square. What machine would you guys recommend, and also what sand paper grits and manufacturers have you found to work the best. Thanks
i use the 6"x48" belt sander from harbor freight. has enough juice. i've had mine for about 5 years without issues. its not very safety friendly. It'll take a finger if you're not careful.

i like the 3M 777F Ceramic/cloth belts 36 grit. eats stainless like crazy, works great for surfacing flanges too. very aggressive. 60 grit likes to wear out pretty quick. does take a little extra wire brush to get all the dust and particles off, but worth it for time. i've tried about 20 different belts ranging from $4 to $35 and i prefer the expensive ones. time saved in my book is worth the money. shaves off hours of fab time for a single manifold.
