So lately when I'm driving I've been noticing that my civic will suddenly lose all power for like 15 seconds and then it'll jerk and kick around and then the power is back. It only seems to happen within the 1st 5 minutes or so of driving the car and then it goes away. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? All routine maintenance has been done about 5k miles ago or so.

I've been reading around on some of the other threads with the same type of issue so I disconnected my o2 sensor to see if it goes away. I'll post back with the update.

 

Disconnected the O2 sensor and the issue seems to have gone away but the car idles alot rougher now. Is the O2 sensor junk?

 

why not hook a datalogger up to it and see whats going on?

 

I would but I don't have one. I reconnected the o2 sensor and the issue came back instantly.
