94 Honda Civic Wheel bearing problem? HELP?!
So awhile ago when i was taking out the axle i put everything back together and noticed a slight grinding sound(sounds like metal to metal contact), this sound only happens when i hit aggressive bumps and when i take hard turns but only from the drivers front side. I thought it may have been the rotor so i just replaced the rotor/brake pads, still sounds pretty bad, i checked the dust shield and its pushed as far back as it can go. I dont hear the noise when im doing straight on smooth roads, or like the freeway i cant hear it. So would it be the wheel bearing or something else? the rotors i put on were just resurfaced as well. I remember hitting the hub to get the lower ball joint to free up, so im thinking i might have hit it too hard to mess the wheel bearing up.. Not sure though, any input?
Just jack the front left up. If there is play in the wheel when you put your hands at 12 and 6, 9 and 3 o'clock, ect, just go all the way around and try to feel for play. If you have play all the way around then your wheel bearing is bad or your axle nut is loose.
If you have no play in the wheel and your axle nut is tight then take it to a shop.

So yeah the axle is tight. I think my brother can get me a whole knuckle from his junkyard for like 20 bucks. Or should I pay 50 for the bearing and 40 to press a new one in?
