95 Honda Accord Having Trouble at START UP
Hello fellow HT member,
Recently my 95 Honda accord dx has been having trouble at start up. Symptoms are when turning the key the car appears to turn on but at soon as i let go of the key the car will turn off. It's as if the car wont idle. But then you give it some gas till the car holds idle and stays on, which is usually no longer than about 3 or 4 pumps. After the car is on we have no problems driving around or anything. If the cars been off more than 30mins or so ill have the same problem again. My computer was giving me codes 3 and 12 I believe. But i recently bought a new MAP sensor and cleaned the EGR ports. I then disconnected the battery to reboot the computer to read the new sensor and clean egr. Car was working perfect for a couple of months and now this happened.... What can this be, I need help ?
Thanks in advanced guys

Ignition Switch Contacts are bad, And you need a new switch. Common issue on 1994-1997 Accords. Buy the Part from Honda.
Easy to change also, I did mine myself. Note: Pull the Metal Contacts (Coils) out of the plastic housing to install.
Separate, into two pieces, and Install around the column.

Take it out, pull the white cap thing off, look at the contacts, if they look all burned out, it's probably the switch, and from the sounds of it should be this.

Google Majestic honda, and find the part# yourself.

Accord -> 95 -> KA5MT -> Combination Switch -> Part #12
