Alright so I'm selling my 97 eagle talon and this guy offered me 2500 cash and an 88 crx is 5speed. It's got 149k on it. He said it has some rust. It has coil overs on it, fresh plugs and wires and oil change, the motor is a d16a6 non vtec. Clear title, intake, headers, short throw kit, camber kit, and hid's. The guy did say that the rust is not repairable. I mean that could or could not be true. I could cut it out and weld in new steel. What do you guys think it's worth? This would be my first Honda. This is the guys daily driver car. He also mentioned that is has a power sunroof and has about 75% tread on all four tires.

Power sunroof? D16A6? Sounds more like an Si to me.

 

Whoops I thought I included that but just noticed I didn't. It is an Si. You are correct!

Considering I have zero information on your Talon other than year, and I haven't seen pics or condition of either car, it is next to impossible to tell you what either car is worth or make an accurate assessment on that being a fair deal. Off the top of my head, it sounds like you may be downgrading. Remember, a car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

What did you want to sell your Talon for without the trade?

 

Sounds like a 1k - 1.5k CRX.

150k is neither High or Low mileage. It is about average.

The rust is what makes the car not worth that much.

The aftermarket stuff hurts the car's desirablity as it would with the talon, since there isn't any name brands attached to them.

The interior and the exact quaility of the body is what makes the difference. Really it is about how good it looks.

 

It can only be considered an upgrade when jumping from a DSM to a Honda. And the 88 SI is a rare bird. Just don't put any wings on it.

 

I would of kept the talon and sold it and bought another Crx depending on the rust in which there are no Pics of u could of ****ed yourself with a hole in the road to throw money into a better one j.s

Hey hey hey.... I love DSM'S hahaha. I just wanted to get rid of my talon because I have a 99 GSX so I wanted to put my money into that project. Basically this guys crx is a dd beater he got for 700 bucks. Nothing to go crazy about. My talon is deft worth more but if been trying to get rid of it and I was willing to just take a small hit to get rid of it. I really didn't want to trade so I may tell him that I just want cash. Plus he told me the rust on the crx is not repairable.

I wouldnt do it jus sell it if ur willing to take a lil hit on price den lower ur price put it on craigslist or sumthing
