ok..this mite sound weird but, sometimes when my car idles really low...like 20rpm...all i have to do is park and pull my e-brake up and it'll go back to normal. does this happen to anybody else or is it just me? i can't really describe it any better than that. its like struggling to breathe sometimes, but once its neutral with the Ebrake up...it breathes fine and goes back to normal. its not a real problem...the car doesn't shut off or anything...its just annoying to look at sometimes...any ideas?
It's because you're taking your foot off the normal brake when you do that.
Normal brakes take some power from the engine.
Sit idling with your ebrake on, and pump your brake pedal a bit.
Watch your tach.

Power brakes Use vacuum to operate them, they dont take any power from the engine. It is however possible that you have a vacuum leak from your brake booster that is causing your engine to run lean at idle if the brake pedal is pushed.
Disconect the vacuum line that runs to the Brake booster and plug it up with somthing. Then take the car for a drive and see if the problem goes away.
