Okay, I have a 1990 accord with a new f23 swap. The car starts off in second gear and then only shifts to third its stuck in limp mode.The s indicator light is always flashing so i got the codes by both jumping the service connector and by reading the red led flashes on the at control unit it always flashes 5 for the error code which is a console switch aka neutral switch aka shift lever position switch whatever i replaced it played with it done everythingn to it and the code wont go away i doubt anything's wrong with that because it reads what gear its in fine in the dash and it only turns on in p or n and wont let the key out unless in p. I also changed both solenoids the lock up and the shift and changed the speed sensor. the other day the car drove fine with all gears and after a while went back to ****... So i know the transmission isnt ****ed up. It also jumps horribly into reverse. the only code it gives is 5 i even got the a/t control unit repaired but i have a feeling they didnt do **** to it. When i drive without the 7.5 a back up fuse in which stores all the memory of the control units it will give me 1st and 2nd gear only please im soo ****ing tired its been months somebody help<3

 

lmao dude sounds like your tranny is going out or you need to change fluids. were both solenoids new or used? if used how do you know there not bad? if the shift console is not letting out your key then its your shift console. also just becuz a shift console lights show correct gears doesnt mean its bad.

 

I presume running in second and third is the At default mode. When this happened to my 1990 Accord LX I took the control unit out and found all the capacitors fried. My car will still drive in second and third with the control unit disconnected and removed. For reference my control unit is a 28100-PXO-921-M1 3XL. good luck Jim

 

But the other day it drove fine. i have taken the whole tcu out and checked it nothings fried no reciptors or capacitators i even got it repaired im only 16 years old though... also the solenoids work i tested them with my multimeter.

excuse me? were all idiots? just becuz the solenoids pulled good ohms on your multimeter doesn't mean there good. i guess you still have to learn alot seeing your 16 years old you dont know much about cars lmao. sensors can test good but doesnt mean they work good or work at all seen this happen alot of times. and yet your the lil immature kid calling us idiots when you couldnt even figure out what the problem was. you diagnose first then replace parts not replace parts like the shift solenoids then diagnose yet were the idiots??? lmao everyday im losing hope in society when i come across kids like you

 

I have honda accord exi 1990 when i turn on and go to d4 car move good and powerfully for 15 or 20 seconds after that dont move in any gear and my rpm go up and down my car 24 years sleeping in parking and only 65000 mile worked if anyone can help me thanks
