please help with my frustrating accord
hey guys
im trying to figure out my very frustrating honda situation...
i have a 1998 2.3 accord, SOHC v-tech, 5-speed, my questions is: my car was having a nasty misfire due to the engine harness being butchered up by the last owner.. so i purchased a new harness however its an automatic harness, ive done research and read through the write ups. now my car is not starting, my engine cranks over but does not fire up. i am getting fuel to the rail but the ecu is not firing the injectors, I've checked my grounds, made sure my ecu is getting power ect ect.. i am using the original 5-speed ecu and there is a clip on the harness thats not plugged in. could this cause my engine not to start? should i get an automatic ecu? please help
** the engine harness has ( 3 ) clips, two gray and one blue, my ecu currently has 3 slots, one from the dash harness, one for the blue and one for one of the gray one, the last clip is not plugged in nor does the ecu have a slot for it to fit... could this be my issue ?**

The Automatic ECU and Manual ECU Differ, as do the harnesses.
Hmnnn, hard to tell without looking, do you have a wiring diagram? Honda Service Manuals for Technicians (Honda Technicians) have great electrical diagrams, which may allow you to test all your circuitry, and also understand what is not connected.
Get the Diagram, Source another/new wiring harness, get an electrical tech, split the manual harness, and rewire bad connections. Many options open.
