my gf is driving an automatic 96 integra. Although the engine does not turn, the starter was clicking once every time we cranked the ignition. She first encountered this clicking a few weeks ago but managed to get the car to start after a few tries. I figured the starter was going bad, but never had time to check it out. Today, after school, it would not start. So i pulled the starter out in the parking lot and took it to AutoZone to get tested. The maximum voltage was off only by a few and the starter gear pushed out and turned fine. My question is: Can the starter still be bad mechanically or is there another source that can be causing the problem......oh yeah...and her battery is new and alternator is fine. Can someone help ASAP!!!?? I need to move her car out by tomorrow!! Thanks!

i changed the starter today and the car started right up!
