Default Exhaust Recomendations

I own a 1998 Accord EX the 2 door coupe with a F-23. My stock exhaust has a hole so iwant to replace it with an aftermarket one. Does anyone have any recomendation for a system that is more on the quiet side (not like a hive of pissed of bees/ fart can quality) but will still provide hp gains?

Bosal or Magnaflow make a good quality exhaust, that isn't raspy.

I've never seen an exhaust have so much back pressure that it would break bolts. Besides the Bosal exhaust for the Accord is a larger diameter than stock and it's mandrel bent. So I'm not sure how it would have more BP than a stock unit..... I ran it on my CD for 5 years without issues.... Guess your buddy got a dud!

I will second the Magnaflow sentiment though. I am currently running a Magnaflow cat and cat back on my Tribute and I love it! Nice deep tone!

Talk to a decent exhaust shop, custom options are often cheaper that you think. They can recommend resonators that will quiet things down, without being too restrictive. They also do exhaust work all day, expertise can be your friend. Goodluck!

I had a 5Zigen cat back on my 01. Not the obligatory fart can sound but a bit deeper and mellow.
