1990 Civic Lx, 1.5L 5 speed, WHERE do I post this?

1990 Civic Lx, 1.5L 5 speed, WHERE do I post this?
The usual radiator FAN issues, checked all the relays and cannot reach/find thermo-mounted fan switch on THIS particular model. Also, A/C fan came on when hot but now it does NOT, which was good enough to keep me from stranding in traffic.
Anyone familiar with the fan thermal switches in the black potted case and WHERE that needs to be mounted? Does that need to sense a level of heat before A/C fan will come on? This thermal switch is identical looking to the Omron relays BUT the inside is potted and has a low resistance across it. Does it NEED to be bolted to the radiator and if so: Where?
Bought in 2008, may have been totaled but truly has been "worked on" since most front end items are not mounted to any surfaces. 1/4 million miles easy and yes, I do all my own maint on it except for this fan issue which has never been resolved since 7/'08. Am in Texas this year, now it's an issue!
