str sheetmetal or jg edlebrock???
I wish the skunk2 had 8 injector bosses. I don't know about those JG's I have heard mix opinions on them I don't know if I wanna try one with some enhanced fuel atomization on them. You know 8 350s instead of 720s. Big injectors have poor spread patterns.

square box manifolds suck........try swirling air in a square box
But on a street set up, 4 injectors work great. Only go to 8 when 4 can't supply enough fuel...like with methanol

Back to the subject, I'd take a JG anyday on a daily driver. All the sensors plug right in, just as they should, and you can bolt up your IACV, which on most sheetmetal manifolds you can't.
The HP Racing sheetmetal is much cheaper than the STR and is pre tapped for the IACV, factory t/b size, and the IAT. It's a very nice unit if you decide to go with the sheet metal.

I heard protflow did a test on all the major manifolds and the victor x came out the flowing the best. I also heard they ground off the JG Edlebrock off the top and it made 10 more hp...
In my opinion and experience the STR sheetmanifolds are an overkill on an everyday driven turbo car. They help out at high end, but you have to compensate some of your low end power. It really depends on what you're looking for, you cant go wrong with the JG.
I have a Vemon--basically the STR equivalent. I bought it from boosted3g. He had a nawz backfire and it made the square plenum more round. Just for kicks he dyno'd it afterwards and it made a significant increase in horsepower, i think somewhere like 15 more or so at 12psi boost.
I like the JUN one myself. But $2800 is a tid bit pricey for me. I was told that it has built in velocity stackers (horns like the ITB) in every runners, pretty bad-***.
jg is better cause i will sell it to ya for 300shipped. b16 and b18c5 any takers.
and yes i did notice a great increase in top end power. car pull much more up top. a diffrence you can feel. but i just parted out my car. will also take trades for bov or other parts turbo, sterio what ever parts

For a ls/turbo setup that is street driven (10-14psi), would you guys sugguest the skunk2 or jg intake manifold?

My HP Racing manifold has horns in each runner, it does not just go from runner to plenum.
Wrong again fizzle dizzle! Using the word "exact" implies that if they were put next to each other, you could not tell the difference. Guess what smart guy, they are very, very different. The Venom uses a formed sheet metal plenum and runners where the old STR used a billet 1/4" thick extrusion that did not have to be formed. Also, the runners were much, much thicker on the old STR one. Plus, the flanges were different! Oh yeah, and the new STR intake manifold is an exact copy of their oldone that I used to make for them!! You think STR was such an innovator, but did you know that when we designed their manifold for them, they supplied us with a Hogan manifold to take note of!!! You probably don't even know what a Hogan is do ya? That's right, your just a new guy turned OG because you think you know what you don't really know!!

im using the skunk 2 and at 8psi. i gained about 8 wheel hp. midrange, and about 14 up top. im pretty happy with it. i wouldnt think you would need 8 injectors on the street.
STR Manifold also has CNC machined trumpet horn style runners that meet up with the plenum. Lots of people out there think that they are just simply tubes welded onto a box. They are not.
Also, to reply to the person who said to try to swirl air in a box? Under pressure, or boost, air won't care if it's in a box, cylinder, sphere...etc. pressurized air would yield no preference.
For the person asking for proof? Once upon a time, Turbo magazine did a write-up on the STR manifold, and it laid down 38hp more to the ground on a turbo b-series motor, with just that as the only part changed.
