93 Accord Rear Defogger
Seems like this is kindof a common issue on honda-tech but I still need help.
When I push the rear defogger switchlight on the dash, the light does not come on and the fog on the rear window does not go away. I checked that the switch was plugged in, that the fuse under the dash was good and the fuse under the hood was good. All checked out fine.
I checked the under-hood fuse with a multi-meter and it does have power when the switch is turned on.
I also checked the back connectors (right & left of rear window) and they seem to be connected, as well as I don't see any obvious breaks in the lines.
When I check for power at the back window connectors, I don't get anything. Black lead to a grounding bolt on the door frame, red lead to the solder on the connection. Neither passenger or driver side shows anything.
I assume that means there is a bad part somewhere between the under-hood fuse and the back window but I'm not a mechanic and I don't know the system.
I would appreciate any feedback.
FYI, I've used honda-tech.com quite a bit recently to fix some issues with my newly aquired 93 Accord commuter car. Brake light on dash, heater blower motor...things like that. 295,000 miles as of yesterday but I'm narrowing down all of the little things. ...so....thanks!
