1999 Honda Civic EX coupe

2 Owners, other owner was a family member and purchased when it was brand new
Clean title and registered until November 2012 and recently smogged, just placed Affidavit of Non-Use with DMV and can be removed after purchase

5 speed Manual transmission, no pops or grinds
Odometer has 176K miles, engine is only 100K miles
Located in San Diego
Engine is a D16Y8 VTEC head, and a D16Y7 short block. The head is perfect, recently had a valve adjustment done and was resurfaced to ensure tight seal and ready to be used. The short block has 1 bad rod due to rod knock, can be fixed or replaced with another shortblock. The great thing about Honda's is that you can get another shortblock for very cheap. Only other problems are a low idle, most likely due to the Idle Air Control Valve. Throw out bearing will eventually need to be replaced, but does not affect driving whatsoever. Still starts, but I recommend it to be towed and fixed before you drive it again.
This is an EX model which means it has power everything(power steering, power windows, ABS) including a moon roof. The exterior is a 7/10 with some minor dents and scratches, and one bigger dent on the right of the rear bumper (see pictures). Interior is an 8/10 with some rips in the fold down mirrors and slider roof. Overall still an eye catcher, looks sleek after a fresh wash.
Car has always been well maintained by me. Has had all its proper maintenance done, including replacing water pump and timing belt, oil changes, clutch, axles, etc. If you're looking to put in a high power audio system, this car is ready. Alternator was replaced with a 190amp High Output Alternator from DC Power Engineering, will keep your voltage steady for a high wattage system. Currently has an MB Quart ONX4.60 amplifier, bridged to 240w RMS@4ohms powering a Image Dynamics CTX65CS component set in the front. Battery replaced with an XS Power D5100R, sealed AGM battery which means no maintenance and better power.
Speakers and amp can stay installed if worked into the price. "The Big 3" 0Gauge power wires put in to add stability. Currently has 2 12" subs powered by 3K watts, but that will be taken out before sale. Also has an extra battery in rear that will also be taken out. Does not have a head unit due to theft, but will include the stock radio.
Also has some nice extras. Comes with a Tenzo Cold Air Intake, gives nice improvement in sound and performance and can easily be switched back and forth to a Short Ram. Will also include stock air box. 12000K 55W HID Kit with direct to battery Relay, shines bright with a slight purple tint but does not blind other drivers. Currently has some real carbon fiber spoon mirrors with UV coating that prevents glare and nice light blue tint, willing to work into price. Still have the color-matched power side mirrors as well. Also have a real carbon fiber front lip, always wanted to install but never had the chance, and can be worked into the price.
Currently is sitting on 3 14" steel rims and 1 17" Konig Bump (as seen in the first few pictures). Steel wheels still have good tread, the Konig has a brand new tire with only a few hundred miles on it. I have the rest of the Konig rims which I will give to you, but they will need new tires.
Car is located in Vista at my mechanic and has been professionally checked out by him. I have gotten TONS of comments about how clean and nice the car looks. Will really make someone happy with some love given. Asking $2400 Or Best Offer, and some nice add ons that can be sold in addition.
