Default 1997 Honda Civic DX Fuel Filter replacement interval.

Is it true that the interval for changing the fuel filter is every 30k miles? I have approximately 65k to 70k miles on my cars current fuel filter. I have noticed a slight hesitation now under acceleration and while maintaining speed also a slight hesitation when pressing the gas pedal. My car still gets around 33 mpgs at 75 mph and ac blasting.

I have read most fuel filters are good for like 100k+ miles and I have seen them do that too... It all depends on fuel quality
