A/C issues not cold anymore after refilling not too long ago. why???
ok i got a 1990 civic sedan. just got the a/c refilled at a shop about 3 months ago and they inspected it there and everything was good. already converted to r134, no leaks, belts good, no wierd noise or anything like that and was real cold after the refill for about 3 months. the last 2 days the a/c just doesnt get really cold anymore why is that? is it because of the compressor?
It's leaking out or both of your fans are not working. Does it get colder on the highway? Is it getting a little warmer everyday?

You need to put a set of manifold gauges on it before you decide if you have a leak. If you do have a leak, your high-pressure side will be about equal to the low pressure side. At 85 degrees air temp, you should be at about 35 psi on the low side and 250 psi on the high side. Somewhere around there, anyway. The warm air could be caused by a lot of things. Your heater door could even be open. Maybe your cable for the air mix broke. There are a lot of things to check. If you have a remanufactured compressor, those things go out all the time, too.
Is your clutch cycling on and off? Is it cycling on and off in quick succession?

Verify that the refrigerant is low by hooking up a manifold gauge set. If so, add up to a can of r134a containing a leak detecting dye. Where the dye appears is where the refrigerant is leaking.
Never add refrigerant containing anything advertized to stop leaks. It creates more problems than it helps.
