Default white smoke and oil after head swap...HELP!

well like the title says, i am consuming something (smells like oil??) and smoking white/blue smoke at idle and under some acceleration. i have recently bought a 95 1.5 non vtec, (it had a blown head gasket) smoked coolant and so i replaced the head with a 1.5 vtec head. The head was rebuilt at a machine shop and had new guides and seals done, as well as deck and a mild shave Sooo now it has all new gaskets seals and pcv. Ignition is new, but i havnt hooked up vtec solenoid yet. 180 comp across the 4...where could oil be coming from?

yes i do have some oil on the plugs. but i would think that with good compression that the rings would be good?

^ if u have oil on the plugs.. It could creep into cylinder through the sparkplug washers... But more than likely u have a blown head gasket... Do a leakdown test to prove theory

i meant oil on the firing side of the plug. top side is dry. Head gasket is new with head and everything else. It only has a few hours on it. Do you think it could be blown already? Will try to see if i can hear air though my dipstick. Leakdown tests are a p.i.t.a. Ive tried one but with no luck to get it setup right and get real results. I guess ill have to do it again..

Warped block or head is most likely culprit. Im gonna go with warped head doubt the gasket is blown

Head was decked at a machine shop, block was checked with a straight edge and feeler gauge. Head gasket is new(less than 1 hour of running on it). Head was torqued to spec with new head bolts. Valvetrain was done at the machine shop and was assembled/oiled properly. Doubt seals are bad. PCV valve was replaced.

Motor is still running off stock b15 ecu with no vtec controller. Compression is good across all cylinders at ~180.

Motor doesn't smoke upon start up and doesn't smoke at idle. Light gray/bluish smoke comes out under any type of throttle input. The smoke lasts until the engine comes back down to idle rpms.

Spark plugs are black and wet and wipe clean, not sooty at all.

This is my brothers car and I've been helping diagnose it so I figure I'd give a description of what we've got. I'm leaning towards rings, but I would be awesome if it were something else.

Bump, on my way to go try a wet compression test to see if the #'s change at all with oil in the cylinders

220 across all 4 with comp test on a hot engine. So obviously the rings are good. Does anyone know of a PCV writeup or a common issue with that PCV canister below the intake plenum?

Turned out to be rings. The oil rings were bad letting oil by and giving false compression results.
