I recently had a spark problem but I got it good and it runs. It runs really good but roms doesn't pass around 4k. Knock sensor cel code23 is being thrown and it's the only code. This motor I'm using is from a 96-97 2.3 non vtec. The car is a 98 accord lx


I'm using all the outside components, ecu, wiring harness all from original 98 accord vtec 2.3.

The car was running bad until I plugged in the vtec solenoid from the old motor because of the code it threw. It's not attached to anything but computer gets it. Started to run better, but now I'm getting cel code 23 for knock. My motor from 96-97 doesnt use knock sensor. It's the only code and problem I have with this.

I've read about smog problems and ppl give 3 volts to the knock to trick the the ecu. However, this is just a trick to get smog. That's Not my case, I need it to stay running good. I do have the knock sensor available and it's plugged in but it's not installed in the block.
