PIC still in business?
Hey all, so is PIC still in business. I decided to order some LCA's from them directly to save myself $10 compared to an authorized distributor. Well I received the automated email to confirm that my order was placed, and that was it. My order status says "Pending". Their phone number goes straight to voicemail, and the mailbox is full. 2 emails with no response. I'm starting to worry. Can anyone shed any light on my situation? It's been over a week now.
I paid via PayPal, so that's a plus. Ultimately, I just want the LCA's! They are the last piece to my suspension that I'm installing next week. I'm going to call one of their listed distributors tomorrow morning.
Ok, so I called a number of their listed distributors today, and I got in touch with one of them. Funny enough, they stopped carrying PIC a few years back because, SHOCK, they are impossible to get in touch with. Ugh, now I have to make a PayPal claim to get my money back. Why are people in business if the don't want to sell their stuff? Seems counter productive to me.

I've talked to a few people, and it is really just hit or miss with them. Great product, but not a big company at all. Al sent me an email saying I should have the LCA's yesterday, but the tracking info says Tuesday. I'm pretty annoyed that I've waited 2 weeks to get something from Illinois to Pennsylvania. It's my fault for assuming my same beliefs in customer service and sense of urgency are shared by others.

small company's' are normally operated by people who maintain day jobs
They are definitely not "built to order," and I am definitely not bashing PIC. I don't buy products for a name. I buy them based on research and proven results. PIC has that across the board with their products. There was a statement on their website stating that they were eliminating some products to focus on their "core" customers. I guess that means they have enough business, and really aren't looking for more. I get it. I just expected more from a company with its feet fimly planted in the industry.
The "core" business has been actual racers. They are revamping their product line to get rid of the Apex series - only doing adjustables - and revamping what rates they will stock. It's not that they have too much business, it's probably quite the opposite. Too many offerings for a business model that is more focused than that.
i hope you get your LCA soon. i am very happy with mine, been on my daily driver for the last 3 years and the bushings are holding up just fine like the day i got it.
