Icon2 New Paint for Red EG Hatch.....Paint The Side Skirts and Front Lip Too?????

My 94 EG is going in for a new paint job....the current paint is all faded and pinkish..... It has the black stock side skirts and it has the optional black OEM front lip.

SHOULD I PAINT IT ALL RED??

I see some cars that look real nice with them black, yet I see others that look good with them all red....and I see some that I dont like of each. My car is a VX so it does not have the black inserts on the doors...... I also have white 15" wheels with machined lips..

What is your opinion??

Here are some examples....
All RED

My wheels and drop are VERY similar to this...none of the other crazy stuff though

Or black skirts??

I prefer unpainted moldings, mirror bases, lip and sideskirts. The only time I like painted lips is if it's J's Racing or an FRP Backyard Special lip.

Not only for aesthetics, but your lip and side skirts get most of the grunt of rock chips and blemishes and if you paint them you would have to get it all repainted if something were to happen. I just take mine off, sand them down and throw a new coat of trim paint on them every year or so.... Also side moldings are going to be the first thing someone dings when they open their door in to your car. It would be nice to just be able to pop the molding off and throw a new one on without having to get a paintshop to match it perfectly to your red.

I would say keep them unpainted. Also, EK sideskirts look great on an eg. Should look into getting some.

Thanks for the tip on the skirts! I'll look into that.

I have no idea how much of a drop it is honestly... They are Tanabe Sustec Pro coilovers that have about an inch more to go down in the front and a couple inches in the rear. Thanks man.
