I just wanted to share with you guys my experience with my "new" honda. I picked up a 1990 HF last month with the intent of doing a quick build to have a nice daily driver. It is my intention to keep my AC, have a sub 16 quarter and around 30mpg.

With my budget this is the best car I could think of. Some may not be happy with using a mint...ish HF for this swap but it is lightweight and my soul is ok with it.

So there was Many ways to hit my goals with this chassis set up. My idea... Keep it simple! I already have a crazy build going on of another caliber that gets most of my hard earned cash. The last thing i need is another money pit.

The parts list so far.

Most broken parts replaced (tail light, glove box, hood popper, msc)
JDM b16 obd0 (not sure what tranny it came with will find out when it arrives)
JDM PR3 ECU
Vtec add in harness
Innovate steel mounts
Replacement water pump, timing belt and most top end seals.
New Mishimoto 88-91 Civic/CRX w/B16 Engine Radiator Silicone Hose Kit Black

Still have a few things to pick up. Some of those things will be easy others not so much. I have not found a nice hub carrier or axle deal just yet. (maybe someone could point me in the right direction)

Ha Ha well thanks! what you cant see is the Huge amounts of pant fade going on. Other then one quickly progressing tear in the drivers side seal the interior is really mint!

 

Just got my engine in today. Its not in as good of condition as I would like. all the wiring is cut. Its missing the lower half of the mani and some brackets on the tranny look a little beat. I may end up ordering more parts then I wanted to

This B16 was pulled from a da-6. I found a few broken parts I am not real happy with.







The engine is also missing the bottom half of its header. I want to order a new header but few of the aftermarket ones I have seen have provisions for multiple O2 sensors.

Also where is a good place to source a nice set of hubs?
