Questions about removing dash and replacing main harness
Hey folks,
First post here. I'm working on an 89 Civic LX, and I'm trying to remove the dash to replace the main harness. (Due to some "work" done on it by a previous owner, it's pretty torn up.)

I've run into a couple problems. One is that in the service manual I've been following, it shows that the instrument cluster has to be removed, but the one pictured is different than the one in my car. Mine has a plastic top thing that I removed two screws from, but the front of it is clipped in, and I can't see a way to remove it without breaking it. Does anyone know how to remove it? The piece in this pic is what I'm talking about: https://plus.google.com/photos/11524...CM-00fTus7XscQ
The other issue I've had is that some of the electrical connectors on the back of the fusebox are just stuck, and I haven't been able to pull it out far enough to get a good angle on them. I'm hoping that once I get the dashboard out it might be easier to access, but if you guys have any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
Nate
