cali emmissions...beating the dead horse
not the usual inquiry
ok i will start by saying i live in michigan and we dont have emmission laws. i just purchased a 94 DB8. the car is originally from california. i know some makes and models of california vehicles had extra emission devises installed (more restrictive exhausts, extra cats, different ecu's/maps, etc)
i bought this for a daily driver but just wanted to know if its being choked up with emission crap. plans for the vehicle are to keep it a quiet and comfy daily. only mods that may or may not ever happen are the type r headers and exhaust and k&n drop in filter

There are NO extra Cali emission changes to a DB8. They were all made to be compliant with all emission standards. But lucky for you, they don't have to stay that way.

There is NO difference in OE cats for CA and other states. Aftermarket cats are a different story. If your cat heat-shields are held on by bolts, then you've still got the original cat.
You're lucky to have a CA car. There won't be the rust that you'll end up with in MI.
