Hi,

I have a 98 Accord with 214k miles on it. I just moved to the Seattle area from Las Vegas. Ever since I've been here my car has started to stall early in the morning when I come to a complete stop before the car has reached its operating temperature. Once the car heats up, it runs fine.

I've recently done a head job on it, replaced plugs, spark plug cables, distributor, both O2 sensors, and searched for vacuum leaks. I can't seem to figure out the problem.

My wife takes the car early in the morning and I've just been having her warm the car up before leaving as a temporary work-around.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

 

Sounds like the valve lash are way too tight, and engine will stall out during cold start.

 

Try cleaning throttle body if this does not work try raising idle speed by adjusting idle screw. Might be a simple fix to a bigger problem?
