I just picked up a minty 93 civic Si a few days ago and the owner i bought it from claimed all it needed for the ac was a compressor. He claims its converted to R134a how can i tell if it has been converted? he also said i cant use an R12 civic compressor which is what my buddy has laying around his garage.. is this correct lol? Any help would be appreciated!

 

The R13a and R12 low and high side valves are different.

Be prepared to replace the entire A/C system.
