My car doesn't crank just with a jump-star crank. i check the battery and when the car is cold doesn't crank , when i jump it with my dad car crank ... then i turn the car off and i try to turn the car on and the car works perfect but when i wake up in the morning doesn't crank.

I more think . The starter engine crank just when i put the jump cables and the engine of my dad car is on .. with the cables tie to the battery no work just when the car is fully on .. ideas??????

 

You battery is dead. Also check the alternator.

 

Agreeing with Ron. Same thing happened in my 98 civic ex. Got it jumped to run to Advance Auto and bought a battery. They installed it, tested it and the alternator. Haven't had a problem since.

 

I test the car and jump it . take out the battery and drive without the battery and doesn't turn off so the alternator look like is working,... i take the battery to autozone they check it with the machine i waited 5 minutes they said it is ok 13V , they said is not the battery but i put the battery back on my car and when i turn the key on the starter crank and everthing is working properly but when i after three times turning off and on key the car is doesn't crank no more ,, ideas???

 

check this out, i let me dad to try to star the car and i hear that the starter gets stuck and i hit the starter with a pipe wrench and like a miracle with a few hits the starter crank and the engine is on ,, thanks god this problem was driving me crazy, thanks guys for the help.. I will keep you informed when I put the new starter...
