Buyer beware my ***. He didnt pay for insurance. The tab broke. He bitched. He sent it back. Not my fault.

 

we'll see what he says, but something that is commonly recommended to prevent that from happening is to REQUIRE INSURANCE ON ALL SHIPMENTS. this way you can't be blamed for this sort of issue.

 

Ill vouch for him, ive delt with him plenty of times with zero issue.

I give the option if the buyer wants to pay for it. I do not come out of pocket for it. Many companies practice the same way.

The box was stamped Fragile (doesnt mean much nowadays).

I will PM him and see if we can work something out.

 

i recommend always requiring insurance and building it into the shipping quote. you don't have to come out of pocket for it.

i've seen a lot of **** on this forum and that is one of the things that can protect both buyer and seller.

if they don't want to pay insurance, then they don't have to buy it.

 

Whats funny is most people nickle and dime you so much they dont even care.

I just qouted a guy $90 shipped for a s2000 radiator and overflow and hes saying thats too much in shipping.

sounds totally fair.

at this point, if i were the OP, i'd send you a good one, require all heads from this point forward to pay for insurance on this somewhat hot item (or they can hit the bricks) and it'd use plastic weld to repair the broken one and sell it with that noted clearly.

but y0...i'm just suggesting that. it's not my call. as long as both parties can come to a reasonable agreement, please.

OP, if you can satisfy Greg in light of his very simple/basic request, i'll definitely remove my buyer beware notice. i did that because i know Greg to be a completely standup individual and can't tolerate him having issues with sellers on this forum.

Believe me I would have used plastic weld to begin with - had I known upon shipping back cluster (with broken tab) was gonna lead to this (even though OP said to ship back to him and that he'll even refund me for my shipping cost back to him)

OP, you need to reach out to CHEETAH like you said you would and work something out.

that is terrible for me to look back on this and find out you haven't done what you said you would. so not only did you fall down with him, you told me some BS as well.

 

$90 shipped is cheap.........Shipping alone is like $25-$30, not to mention the time and packing materials.
