Ok so i was informed the for sale listing was a misprint.. Its a cable lsd. Will that work in hydro trans? I doubt it but worth asking for sure.. Kinda bummed now
OEM cable LSD won't work in a hydro.
You can't order the countershaft. The CS and RG need to be from the same trans.
Best type of LSD depends on your use. RR/AX = clutch type. Street/strip = helical.

Ok so if i get a cable b16 trans im good? Can i ask what makes helical better for street and clutch type for autox? Im thinking of selling my hydro trans and just buying a cable trans.. Alot easier to find than i thought.
should i just sell hydro tranny and get cable tranny install lsd and get mfactory 4.7fd? or should i keep hydro tranny setup and get mfactory lsd and 4.7fd??
If you have a pre-92 cable trans you'll be fine. Helical is silent and requires no extra maintenance. Clutch-type makes noise and requires rebuilds.
If you get a OEM viscous LSD (everything but the ITR/CTR) you need the matching ring gear and countershaft. The RG/CS can be from a different trans than the LSD, but they need to be from the same trans as each other, which much also be a viscous LSD trans.
MFactory only makes a 4.9 final drive for the pre-92 cable transmissions, no 4.7 is available. 92+ has more options: 4.05, 4.266, 4.533, 4.60, 4.785 and 4.923.
