how to: replace rear power door lock actuator, window switch, door lever
this was actually so easy i was debating whether or not to make one, but since its my first how-to it might as well be something easy
this is for a 6th gen accord, 4dr, on the back driver door, the other doors are the same except for having more wires for lock stitches and mirrors
***for the front doors, stuff i can remember that is different***
the front doors mirror triangle trim piece will need to be removed by prying from the door edge, and theres a button looking plug thing that has to be removed, i normally leave it in and pry it off by pulling from behind the panel so i wont damage the leather
now onto the rear doors
door lever
pry up the screw cover and remove screw
the flap with the window switch is hinged at the back so pry from the front
the flap for the door lever trim could be hinged either direction
try to avoid using a knife since you can slip and scratch your interior, i used a probe from my voltmeter, but a precision screw driver would be the ideal tool
remove the door lever housing by sliding it forward and pulling it out towards you, then rotate that little brown rod holder thingy off the rod and pull the handle down off the rod to remove it

------
power window switch/door handle
the flap with the window switch is hinged at the back so pry from the front, remove screw
the power window switch housing itself lifts up from the back then slides backwards and up out of place
the window switch connector has a button on it you press in to release it and then pull the plug
door panel
you shouldnt need any tools, just reach into the door pocket and pull towards you from the bottom, then lift up and lean the panel towards you, you have to remove the socket for the door puddle light, rotate then remove, now everything should be disconnected
here's a pic of the backside of the panel to study where and how many clips there are, a few of mine are busted from another shop replacing the whole door

power lock actuator
there are just 2 connectors to unplug, then snake that lever off the rod, sometimes it helps to turn the unit sideways to get it off, slap on a new motor and you're done

whatever you do though, i wouldnt try to take apart that unit, its like impossible to put back together and you end up with a manual lock anyways
i got mine for 10 bucks from some dude parting out a wrecked accord,
junkyards let them go for about 15, oreillys sells replacements with lifetime warranty for 40, give or take 5
install is reverse of removal, just remember to plug in the door light, and you should take the opportunity to detail the door and stuff while you're at it, since its off you can do it in the ac in your house
pro-tip: tired of getting stabbed in the elbow by the door lock pin on the accord, do this at your own risk
remove the door lock pin from the car
hold the pin in a 10mm box end wrench
turn the rod with an adjustable wrench 3 times (or use a vise if you have one)
done, it wont stick up as high
i'll plan to make another how-to thread for that, maybe
the thing to watch out for is not to bottom out the rod in the pin
