Default cutting lowering springs?

ijust lowered my 95 del sol. i like the way it looks but i want to lower the front a liittle bit lower. so im going to cut them. anything i should know? and yes, i do know it will not ride as well. they are tein s lowering springs also by the way. and i would like to go about 1/2"-1" lower so if anyone has cut these springs how much did you cut? i will be cutting off 1/2 coils each time until i like the riding heigth.

Wouldn't advise doing that unless you can calculate your spring rates etc using math and formulas.

What shocks are you running?

I'm not rich either. But you won't catch me cutting springs. There's no science behind it. Just go ahead and do it since you will no matter what anyone says.

Do it the right now, get springs that go lower or get coilovers.

No need to do things the wrong way.

Why did you only post 1 pic of your car on your profile?

IF IF IF you cut them, cut one of the dead coils off.

cutting springs is a very silly idea, sell the springs and buy coilovers. That is the "correct" way to do things. There is really no reason to cut springs. This isn't the 70's, and these aren't muscle cars.

S techs are already too soft for the drop. Just cut them and make it worse.

this is a life lesson a lot of people need to learn. applies outside of cars as well.

it's not that it'll ride like ****.. it's just not enough spring to support the wieght of the vehicle over bumps and stuff.

op.. prepare to bang, scrape, bounce, and drag until the balljoints break.
