just got an 02 type s what can i expect?
Got it last Wednesday I love it! What a difference from my EF without power steering & a/c. Well I need some info on it like which k do I have? Does it come with the rbc manifold I've been hearing about? And if I wanted to go k24 which 1 is the 1 to get? Last but not least if I keep the k20 in it what's a good n/a setup as far as cams & good header? It came with injen cai & greddy evo
You have the K20A2. You have the engine with the weak valve springs/retainers. (02-03) Look into replacing them when you do cams. In short a CAI, RH, Exhaust, IM gasket, and K-pro the car will be a beast. Get an Ingals tq dampner, and really good tires. Get a good suspension as well.

^^ Thanks for ur info its what i was looking for. Of course i know whats in the type s u moran! I was looking for weak points of the car. Over all im happy, but like furious94ls said the springs/retainers are weak so good to know. Also i hear the transmissions are weak and go out.

I wouldn't worry about springs/retainers. That if you are going to do big cams down the road. And with making posts like this it's probably not for awhile in your case. But yes the transmissions are also referred to as "glass trannies" because they are weak sauce for sure.
I also wouldn't waste my time nor money on a torque dampener like he suggested. I would go straight to the source and buy good motor mounts right off the bat.
With a K series a simple CAI, Header, Exhaust and Kpro (With tune) will gain some serious power. Now I know you had an EF so prepare yourself when I tell you, if you want to take this game serious, you need to pay to play. K series are expensive. Don't cheap out
