Default OEM TL Wheels w/o TPMS balancing issue

I recently acquired a set of 07-08 Acura TL wheels for my 03 Accord. I purchased them without the TPMS, since my car doesn't require them. I had them rebalanced a few times but it's not solving the issue. The wheels are not bent or damaged in any fashion. The tires are OEM Bridgestones. I'm suspecting that the wheels need to TPMS in order to balance correctly. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, has anyone has OEM Honda/Acura wheels, took out the TPMS, and balanced them sucessfully?

I don't see how not having the TPMS sensors installed could greatly affect the balancing that weights couldn't compensate.

What kinds of problems are you experiencing with the wheels as it could be something else entirely.

Just a vibration at highway speeds (50+ MPH). Around 60MPH, I can let off the wheel and you will see the whole thing shake. Anything under 50MPH is smooth sailing. Im going to take it back to Honda again and see whats up, but I wanted to get some insight on my theory.

I would just take it to a different place like Discount Tire or similar tire shop to balance your wheels.

Also, are the tires on these wheels new, or were these transferred over from an older set of wheels?

a balanced wheel is a balanced wheel, whether it has tpms sensor in or not.

this.

something else is the problem. calibration of the balancer, tires out-of-round, etc.

most people dont know this but rims that are made for tpms actually have a built in weight to counteract the weight of the tpms. when you remove the tpms you remove that weight leaving the wheel very unbalanced. then when you go to balance the wheel it either requires a ton of weights and still cause a vibration or the wheel gets excessive road force causing a vibration. my suggestion is find 4 tpms sensors and use them in the wheel instead of a traditional valve stem...then try it.
