Try them out and let us know! I tried out Evolution Industries cam gears when they first started out about 4yrs ago, everyone kept telling me to put out a little more and get Skunk2 or AEM. My mechanic at the time wanted me to help support Evolution since his brother was a partner there, so I bought a flywheel and the cam gears. I have had no problems with them and the gears are still on my car today. Flywheel is long gone since I had it on a motor in which the car was stolen. Later on, my friend with a boosted H22 Prelude bought one of their flywheels and was on his car for about 3yrs w/o problems before he parted and sold the car. No one really ever heard of Evolution until they came out with the H2B kits and now most H2B guys use their kits.
These gears that you're checking look more stout than my Evolution because these have the 5bolt design and I have the old 3bolt design, granted I have not yet lost my timing or skipped any teeth (knocks on wood).

Ok I guess ill be the guinea pig. they seem to be legit. They even have a facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/VMS-Racing/190279429321
Unless I can get cam gears for cheap. This is a perfect deal. I need that gates belt too

Cam gears should not be something to cheap out on. I have seen and heard many people with slipping cam gears that use inadequate hardware as well poor design resulting in damaging the engine.
I would recommend taking a look into Bisimoto cam gears which are designed and precision machined with serration between the two adjustable pieces and held together with ARP hardware making them impossible to slip.
Bisimoto gears are also balanced and lab tested to over 12,000 rpm greatly reducing valve train harmonics with 6 degree adjustments, advance and retard.

hey guys. i have been trying to find info on theas gears to but cant. so i bought some and thought i would poast it hear for others to read.
please excuse my horrific spelling.
PACKAGE ARRIVED!! :D gates raceing timeing belt. but i got it with this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/88-91-HON...f2dc9f9&_uhb=1. so i got cam gears to. i couldn't find much info on the quality of them so i thought i would give them a go. i was pretty impressed. they seem solid. they seem well made. the fit between the aluminium center and the gear bit is very good. the timeing marks are etched in with the center ones pressed in. they say (and i beleave) they are made from forged (duno bout forged but defts not cast) 7075 aluminium. i like the 5 bolts. normally i see them with 3 or 4. also they say the bolts them self are 304ss which looks right. but the washers look like cheep ****. were they orange bit contacts the outside bit, altho its a fairly large surface aria its still the smooth finish from the hard anodizing so idk how well it would grip

got stickers! :D

timeing belt!

timeing marks

idk if you can see in this pic. but there is a small bur from were they broached out the keyway. but this is the only bur on it. the rest is all very well finised. so im asumeing they broached it after they finished the rest of the machining. therefor it was done in 2 setups. so it the keyway might not be totally accurate.

this sticker seems profesional

marks from what looks like an endmill. but they are only in the finish. you cant actluay feel them

all up i think for $130 its pretty good. unless you guys strongly recommend against it i am going to try use them as long as the fit on the camshaft is good.
