Default b20 swap

Im going to get a local mechanic to do a b20 swap for me. Right now i have a 99 gsr with a b18b swap. Im going to order the motor off jdm tiger or somewheres else that you would recommend for Canada.

Im curious what else he will need from me. There's a few different ones which would be best/easy

Or one of the other million b20 they have there.

Seems like alot of people hate tiger...

I found this http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000...age&item=30028

Do I have to get the 99-00 Spec to drop in? Because wouldn't the P8R Spec be better?

you have to look on the bottom near the oil pan and make sure it doesnt say PR4. That would be the lower compression. Theres P8R's with the higher compression pistons. you have to look at the tab near the oil pan flange.

Whatever you do, get the P8R if you plan on staying NA or if going vtec, sell the head to me.

B20's go for 550 all day long.. search around. I think i saw an ad in the honda marketplace for b20's for 550.

Im pretty sure its the B20b that has a 9.0:1 ratio and the B20Z that has the 9.5:1. As stated above now is the time to really consider what your plan is as the different ratios offer different outcomes. Im boosting my B20B but the Z is a better NA engine. Awesome improvement over the B18

Its going to be mostly a daily riper. Might look at a jrsc in a month or two. Will my ecu run both b20b and b20z? If not I do have access to a dyno turner.
