A/C Clutch won't spin with fan on and ac button pushed in
Forget my earlier post, the Honda garage told me the wrong port BUT when I went to add some R12 my ac compressor clutch won't kick on with the ac button pushed and the fan on high. On my Chevy truck to get ac clutch to kick in with low freon you do it by jumping an electrical fitting on the condensor. How do you get the clutch to kick on in my 91 CRX?
Following the instructions, your supposed to fill into the high side with the engine off for a while. The can will only push so much into the system on it's own, so don't expect much to go in. This will get enough pressure in the system to allow it to finally turn on.
Then you close the high side, start the engine, turn on the system (clutch "should" work now), and fill through the low side.
If your system won't kick on after charging a little though the high side, then something is wrong. Look for blown fuses, bad relays, bad wiring, AC button, bad thermo switch, bad dual-pressure switch, etc...

OP, the part that is jumpered is the pressure switch. You can run a wire from your positive battery post to the red wire that comes off the top of the compressor and plugs in near the fan shroud.
