Do shocks go bad?

Default Do shocks go bad?

I have a 4th gen prelude and i have 103 xxx miles on it...and this place told me that my shocks are going bad....if they are going bad do u think its worth geting a sports suspension package??

They honestly would go eventually depending the condition they are put in. If they have built rust, and the wear and tear is in effect they might be bad. I would get under there my self and examine them.

one way to tell if they are bad is remove them then compress them by hand and if they return well then they are good but if they stay down or return really slow or not at all then they are bad

Sport suspension is a great upgrade. Just look under for any fluid leaking from under the dust shield of your shock. Rust is a no no also.
