I was thinking of tinting my windows. Its damn sunny out here in Texas. Rather than pay hundreds, I was wondering if those DIY kits you see at walmart, autozone, etc, are worth anything?
Is it particularly difficult? It doesn't really look too difficult, yet if done wrong, could have hilarious results. :p

<got a groupon for window tint. looks good from 10 feet away, but for 75 bucks i can't complain.
going along with what megameet said, my back window looks like **** if you actually look at.

it wasn't diy, but might as well be.
some fly-by-night tint/performance shop did it, like i said $75. but let me get some pics i'll show you what it looks like.
i really think anyone could accomplish the same level of quality or better after watching them do it.

you can buy a precut tint from ebay...
its pretty simple... check youtube for DIY...
just make sure the glass is clean before you lay the tint onto the glass...
bottle of soapy water(spray bottle) and a squiggy is all you need...
i used a fricking credit card when i did my pilot...LOL...
basically, clean glass, spray soapy water....on the tint and glass...(its like putting a decal) set it..you can move the tint..left right up and down..because of the soapy water....then push the water out with the squiggy or credit card...
